This project is at the planning stage. It is not running yet. Timeline, location and funding details will be confirmed and published here before it starts.

The challenge

Many children in low-income neighbourhoods are the first in their family to go to school. When they fall behind in the early years, there is often nobody at home who can help them catch up, and the gap widens every year.

Objectives

  • Help children read with understanding and do everyday maths with confidence.
  • Offer a safe, welcoming space to study after school hours.
  • Build children's confidence and habits of regular learning.
  • Keep parents informed about their child's progress.

Who it is for

Children in Classes 1–8 from low-income families who need extra learning support.

What we will do

  • Small-group sessions led by trained, background-checked volunteers.
  • Simple, regular assessments to tailor support to each child.
  • Reading corners with age-appropriate books.
  • Periodic meetings with parents and caregivers.

Results & impact

No results to report yet. Results will be published here once the project is running, together with how they were measured.
