This project is at the planning stage. It is not running yet. Timeline, location and funding details will be confirmed and published here before it starts.

The challenge

For many daily-wage families, a visit to a clinic means losing a day's earnings. Small problems — high blood pressure, anaemia, poor eyesight — often go unnoticed until they become expensive emergencies.

Objectives

  • Offer basic screening such as blood pressure, blood sugar, height, weight and eyesight.
  • Provide guidance from qualified doctors and refer people to appropriate public or private facilities.
  • Raise awareness of government health schemes families may be eligible for.
  • Follow up on referrals where people give consent.

Who it is for

Families, older people and daily-wage workers without regular access to primary healthcare.

What we will do

  • Camps organised with registered doctors and qualified health workers.
  • Health awareness talks in Bengali, Hindi and English.
  • Referral support and help with understanding prescriptions.
  • Confidential, consent-based record keeping.

Results & impact

No results to report yet. Results will be published here once the project is running, together with how they were measured.
